Artistic Mattress [West Hollywood, CA]

[Crescent Heights Blvd - north of Fountain Ave]
If you're gonna throw your mattress out on the sidewalk,
camouflage it by trying to make it look like art!
[A special South of North of East Of West L.A. edition!]

Sherman Terrace Building [Reseda, CA]

[Lindley Ave - south of Sherman Way]
Instead of having a good view of this Cold War era building -
The Sherman Terrace Building - we are menaced by two palm trees.
The Sherman Terrace Building was in operation starting in 1962
as an office of Litton Industries Data Systems Division - purveyors of
Cold War electronic military hardware. At some point in the 80's it became
a Keiser Permanente medical office and seems to be mostly occupied by shrinks.

Goats and Sheep [Studio City, CA]

Unloading of goats and sheep on December 24th for whatever
strange ritual was to be carried out by the
First Christian Church in Studio City... Though, it seems,
they prefer to think of themselves as being in North Hollywood...
[Colfax Ave - south of Moorpark St]

Pirate XMas [Burbank, CA]

An interesting factoid - those that observe flights in and out of
Burbank Airport - know that when the wind is a blowing - aeroplanes
approach from the south as opposed to their normal landing approach
from the west...

Wizard on Car [Studio City, CA]

Interesting to see that someone is trying to revive the
tradition of painting wizards on cars and vans...
[Ventura Blvd - east of Carpenter Ave]

76 - Sherwood Forest [Northridge, CA]

Starting with the previous real estate boom-bust cycle that crashed in
2009 - almost every square block of Los Angeles is trying to come up
with a smarmy name for itself in hopes that it will raise prices...
Sherwood Forest - actually Northridge - is a prime example...
No men in tights are to be found pumping your gas...
[SE corner of Nordhoff St & Lindley Ave]

Payphones [Sherman Oaks, CA]

[Burbank Blvd east of Kester Ave]
It was once said that the most dangerous job in the known universe
was that of a payphone cleaner... Should you want to see actual payphones,
you can take a trip and see these - who knows, they might even work -
though not at the drop of only a dime.

L0LL - Lime Green Truck [Encino, CA]

Note the license plate MPGL0LL - which may be a regret come the
Apocalypse (zombie or not) when gas is in short supply...
Can't crush zombie skulls if your mean green machine is out of go-juice.
