Air Raid Siren #121 [Valley Glen, CA]

If you keep an eye out for 'em - air raid sirens are all over in Los Angeles.
I have to trust that Dennis' Map of Sirens is correct in identifying this one as #121 - at the north west corner of Burbank Blvd and Bellaire Ave. You can check out his Los Angeles Air Raid Siren Page and read some posts from people you are really into sirens...

Matches in Laurel Canyon [Hollywood Hills, CA]

Perhaps as a statement on the early fire season - or perhaps as a little mojo to protect against it's potential - someone decided to make some large pop-art style matches and place them on Laurel Canyon Blvd between Mulholland Drive & Mt. Olympus Dr. I know I missed photographing at least one, and perhaps there were more strewn about.

Bull Creek [Lake Balboa, CA]

Bull Creek - "restored" to a more natural look from the concrete Los Angeles River "Wash"... The all concrete wash can be seen beginning at the Orange Line Busway bridge - under which it also looks like a troll may have taken up residence with strategically placed cardboard to block the view (left hand side of bridge).

Dog Photog [Encino, CA]

Photographing the dog is always real cute - unfortunately, these folks are doing their photographing in a wildlife habitat where signs prohibiting guns, bicycles and dogs are posted... I guess the signs don't apply to all dogs, just like in the case of leash law scofflaws.

Reseda Theater [Reseda, CA]

Reseda Theater - sitting empty for decades. It's a good illustration of how things have been for Reseda for some time. Every few years there's talk of reopening, but somehow it falls through for one reason or other - and it just sits empty and derelict.

Clown & Wires [North Hollywood, CA]

DayGlow Three Wheels [Toluca Lake, CA]

Ran across the DayGlow Tricycle Man for the second time in less than a month.
[Vineland Ave & Moorpark St]
Last time was in the west Valley... by Lake Balboa.
Mighty brave riding that thing in the street.

noSEGWAY [Studio City, CA]

It appeared to be a motorized, three wheeled, doohickie tooling along in the bicycle lane...
