La Cana - Idle Hour Cafe [North Hollywood, CA]

Looks like the La Cana Restaurant and Flamenco Club
restoration and transformation (by The 1933 Group)
back to it's original state is about done.
The Idle Hour Cafe & Tap Room should be open soon...
No matter how one feels about hipster bar restorations, we all can probably agree
that a great piece of programmatic architecture being saved and restored is a good thing...

2015.01.20 addendum - KPCC's Off-Ramp got on the bus and
did a piece on the almost complete restoration.

  1. This seems to part of Southern California's history of theme buildings from the 30's and 40's. The Brown Derby being of course the best example.
